We are a 501(c)-(3) non-profit agency that began in 1983. Our mission is to provide innovative and effective programming that assists older adults in leading quality lives while maintaining dignity and independence. Income is not a consideration to qualify for our services.
PROGRAMS AND INITIATIVES OFFERED:
- Meals on Wheels – around 1500 lunch meals served per day (M-F) to homebound seniors in Jefferson and Hardin Counties (The initiatives listed below are additional services for our homebound clients.)
- Transportation – life-sustaining trips to dialysis, doctor appointments
- Congregate Dining – 14 dining sites throughout the service area where seniors can dine with friends, make new ones, play games, and have access to educational/informational meetings
Initiatives available for Homebound Clients:
- AniMeals – pet food for our homebound clients that cannot otherwise afford it
- Grow to Give – organic fruits and veggies grown at The Giving Field Garden to share with homebound clients
